Langtoun Jazz was established in 2018, succeeding the Fife Jazz Club. The objectives of the organisation are to establish a Jazz Festival in Kirkcaldy and promote regular jazz events in the town and surrounding area. The Langtoun Jazz Festival takes place 24th – 26th June with the Wendy Kirkland Quartet opening the event at Kirkcaldy Old Kirk.

This will be piano/vocalist Wendy Kirkland and guitarist Pat Sprakes first visit to the Langtoun and they will be joined by two top-class Scottish musicians, Jay Kilbride and Kevin Dorrian. They will present a varied programme of originals and standards taken from Wendy’s 3 albums Piano Divas, The Music’s on Me, and Latin Lowdown Live – in fact Wendy is taking the opportunity to play a number of gigs in Scotland, details of which can be found on her website wendykirkland.com.
